Samyan NewGen (SYNG), launched in 2020, is Imagine Thailand Foundation’s education program serving the Samyan community in Bangkok. Despite being near one of Thailand’s top education institutions, many families in this area still face limited educational opportunities. SYNG was created to bridge that gap. What began with just 8 students has now grown to around 50. Each season, over 60 volunteers dedicate their time across three 12‑week terms annually. Our students receive focused instruction in Mathematics, Thai, and English, along with advanced tutoring for older students. Classes are held in small groups, providing the supportive environment students need to thrive.

โครงการ SYNG (Samyan NewGen) เปิดตัวในปี 2563 เป็นโครงการด้านการศึกษาของมูลนิธิ Imagine Thailand ที่ดูแลชุมชนสามย่านในกรุงเทพฯ แม้จะอยู่ใกล้สถาบันการศึกษาชั้นนำของประเทศ แต่ครอบครัวจำนวนมากในพื้นที่นี้ยังคงขาดโอกาสทางการศึกษา SYNG จึงถูกสร้างขึ้นมาเพื่อเติมเต็มช่องว่างนั้น จากจำนวนนักเรียนเพียง 8 คนในช่วงแรก ปัจจุบันเพิ่มขึ้นเป็นประมาณ 50 คน ในแต่ละเทอมมีอาสาสมัครกว่า 60 คนเข้าร่วมตลอด 3 เทอมต่อปี (เทอมละ 12 สัปดาห์) นักเรียนจะได้รับการสอนพิเศษในวิชา คณิตศาสตร์ ภาษาไทย และภาษาอังกฤษ รวมถึง การติวพิเศษสำหรับนักเรียนโต โดยเรียนกันเป็นกลุ่มเล็ก ๆ เพื่อสร้างสภาพแวดล้อมที่ปลอดภัยและสนับสนุนให้นักเรียนเติบโต

Our Impact / ผลกระทบของเรา

Since its launch in 2020, Samyan NewGen (SYNG) has become more than just a tutoring program — it’s a growing community of students, volunteers, and families working together for long-term change. Over the past five years, SYNG has provided free, consistent education to over 100 students in long-term education interventions and engaged more than 400 volunteers, including university students, professionals, and community members from across Bangkok.

Through small-group learning and long-term mentoring relationships, students gain confidence, academic support, and a sense of belonging. Many have gone on to achieve higher grades, new language skills, and stronger motivation to pursue further education.

Behind every class is a team of passionate volunteers—university and high school students, professionals, and community members—who not only teach but also grow in leadership, teamwork, and empathy. Together, they’re shaping a new generation that believes in giving back to their community.

ตั้งแต่เริ่มต้นในปี 2563 Samyan NewGen (SYNG) ได้เติบโตจากโครงการติวหนังสือเล็ก ๆ สู่การเป็นชุมชนแห่งการเรียนรู้ ที่นักเรียน อาสาสมัคร และครอบครัวร่วมกันสร้างการเปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างยั่งยืน ตลอดระยะเวลา 5 ปีที่ผ่านมา SYNG มอบโอกาสทางการศึกษาโดยไม่คิดค่าใช้จ่ายให้กับเด็กกว่า 100 คน ที่อยู่ในโครงการระยะยาว และมีอาสาสมัครกว่า 400 คนรวมถึงนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัย บุคลากรมืออาชีพ และสมาชิกในชุมชนจากทั่วกรุงเทพฯ เข้าร่วมโครงการ

ด้วยการเรียนรู้แบบกลุ่มเล็กและการดูแลต่อเนื่อง เด็ก ๆ ได้รับทั้งความมั่นใจ ผลการเรียนที่ดีขึ้น ทักษะภาษา และแรงบันดาลใจที่จะเรียนต่อในอนาคต

เบื้องหลังทุกห้องเรียนคือทีมอาสาสมัครที่เต็มไปด้วยความมุ่งมั่น ไม่เพียงสอนหนังสือ แต่ยังได้เรียนรู้เรื่องความเป็นผู้นำ การทำงานเป็นทีม และการมีหัวใจรับใช้ผู้อื่นไปพร้อมกัน เพื่อสร้างเยาวชนรุ่นใหม่ที่อยากส่งต่อสิ่งดี ๆ ให้กับชุมชนของตนเอง
